Menzies’ online auction of Prints & Multiples last night affirmed the company’s market-leading position for the sale of important international prints in Australia. With an impressive 84.3% of lots sold by volume, the auction realised $1,043,366 including buyer’s premium – the largest total for a sale of its kind in Australia. Local collectors competed with bidders in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe to achieve new Australian records for Francis Bacon, Salvador Dali, Peter Blake and Richard Diebenkorn.
