A successful evening of online bidding saw Menzies’ Prints & Multiples auction realise impressive results of 111.7% by value and 75.3% by volume. Photography and sculpture stole the show, with Max Dupain’s The Sunbaker selling for $44,182 (including buyer’s premium) and John Kelly’s Three Cows in a Pile selling for $41,727 (including buyer's premium). A bidding war ensued for Greg Weight’s photograph of a languidly smoking Brett Whiteley in 1976, resulting in an auction record for the artist of $34,364 (including buyer’s premium).
