Menzies' June auction yielded outstanding results in traditional, modern, and contemporary art categories. The sales reached 78.9% by volume and 112.4% by value, totaling $4,653,111 (including buyer’s premium).

Notably, Fred Williams' Kew Billabong 1976 (Lot 26) set the year's highest result, selling for $1,227,273 (including buyer’s premium). Additionally, Williams' Upwey Landscape No. 1 1970 (Lot 21) established a new auction record for his works on paper, achieving $147,272 (including buyer’s premium) against a pre-sale estimate of $60,000-80,000. The auction also marked record prices for pieces by contemporary Australian artists Robert Owen and Zhong Chen.
