Related Works:
Note: In 1919 Lipchitz drew up a series of approximately eight known works that were modelled in plaster, some of which were based upon human figures with instruments; after the war these plaster sculptures were placed in storage. Lipchitz later re-visited the works in the 1970s and completed them in marble and bronze as had been his initial intention. The present work, together with the two below mentioned works, form part of the group of eight related works.
